The Knotfest Roadshow 2022 will be back for a second spell starting in May. Slipknot garnered major support from fans all over the country last year with shows at Knotfest in Iowa and LA, Riot Fest, and Welcome to Rockville. 

The release of their first single in two years “The Chapeltown Rag”, has also made the fans excited for the upcoming tour. During the first spell, Slipknot performed in cities across US and Canada, starting from March 16 through to April 17, 2022.

What is the Slipknot Roadshow? 

Commonly known as Knotfest Roadshow, the Slipknot Roadshow is a music festival that is held every year since 2012. American heavy metal band Slipknot is the creator of this fest, which was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. The fest travels across North America and other countries including Japan, Colombia, Germany, Finland, Chile, and Brazil. 

After the safe and successful completion of the 2021 Knotfest, the band will return with a new set of supporting acts and a setlist. The first spell of performances is over and the second will feature new acts including Cypress Hill and Ho99o9. 

Is Slipknot still on tour? 

Yes. The Knotfest 2022 locations include major venues in the United States and Canada. Some of the US cities the tour will be visiting include Fargo, Omaha, Wichita, Memphis, Tulsa, and so on. During the first part of the tour, the Canadian stops will be Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

The first part of the Knotfest roadshow 2022 dates is from March 16 to April 17. This spell started with the show at Fargodome at Fargo, traveled through cities across the US and Canada, and finished on April 17 at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

There will be four shows in Canada on May 26, 28, 29, and 30. The shows will be in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, and Toronto. The second spell of the concerts will start on May 18 at University Park, PA, and wind up at Chula Vista on June 18.

Who will be at Knotfest Roadshow 2022? 

The official Knotfest Roadshow lineup originally included four bands, two each for each leg. ‘In This Moment’-the alternative metal band and ‘Jinjer’- a metalcore band from Donetsk Ukraine were supposed to be touring with the Roadshow from March through April. But due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the latter was replaced by ‘Wage War’. 

For the second spell, Cypress Hill and Ho99o9 will be the supporting acts for the concert tour. They will be opening on all dates excluding the one at Barclays Center on May 20. 

What happens at Knotfest Roadshow? 

Each Knotfest concert may last up to 2 hours and you will be on your feet all the time. What makes it different is the unparalleled stage production, which is considered to be the best in the metal scene. 

There will be mood lighting for each song, striking visuals, and colorful costumes. Pyro takes each performance to a whole other level and the explosions will also make your heart skip a beat.  

Is Knotfest Roadshow 2022 open for all ages? 

Yes. All concerts on the tour are open to everyone. However, tickets are needed for kids 2 years and above. 

Is there a Knotfest every year? 

Knotfest is held as a touring fest and a destination festival in several countries including the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, France, and Colombia. After its inception in 2012, the festival was paused only in 2013 and 2020.

How to find parking for the concert tour? 

The concert tour will be performed at some of the best venues in the country. Chances are, you will find onsite parking at these destinations. Are there any health policies for the tour? 

Even though there is no official health policy for the tour, you will have to be wary of the health and Covid-19 policies specified by the local health authorities. Some of these will include checks at the entry point of each venue where you will be asked to provide proof of full vaccination or the latest Covid-19 negative test result. 

In some cases, you may also be asked to wear a mask during the time inside the venue. Failure to follow any of these policies and rules will result in a denial of entry. So before you buy tickets make sure you can follow all the health policies at the venue of choice.
