Founded in 2013, Indy Eleven was originally announced as Indy Pro Soccer. The soccer team adopted its current name within three months and has since maintained its identity. The Boys in Blue played their first game on the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. They briefly relocated to Lucas Stadium for three seasons (2018 – 2020). The club returned to IU’s Carroll Stadium for last year’s playoffs and is playing in the ongoing 2022 season of the USL Championship.

Almost 10 years after its formation, the minor league team is still looking for a permanent home in Indy. But until the multi-purpose Eleven Park becomes a reality, IU Michael A. What is Indy Eleven?
Indy Eleven is a professional soccer team based in Indianapolis. They debuted in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and moved to United League Soccer (USL) in 2018.
The first Indy Eleven home match was a 1-1 draw against the Carolina RailHawks (now called North Carolina FC). Over 11K fans watched the match held at Carroll Stadium on April 12, 2014. Indy Eleven went on to win the 2016 NASL Spring Championship. Their first trophy was secured by overturning a three-goal tiebreaker.
Why is it called Indy Eleven?
The minor league soccer team Indy Eleven is primarily named after the Union Army’s 11th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Apart from Hoosier State history, the name also reflects soccer culture and the number of players on the field. 11 is also a significant number in Indianapolis 500. Traditionally, the race has eleven rows of cars. The first Indianapolis 500 was also held in 1911.
Who is the owner of Indy 11?
Indy Eleven is owned by Keystone Group’s Chairman and CEO, Ersal Ozdemir. He is also the Chairman and Director of the Indy Eleven Soccer Foundation.
Indianapolis-based Keystone Group is involved in Real Estate Development, Construction, Property Management, & Investments. They are also developing the mixed-use Eleven Park, which will house the new Indy Eleven stadium
Where do the Indy Eleven players train?
Indy Eleven’s official training grounds are at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana. It is about 20 miles north of Indianapolis. The 400-acre park has 31 multi-purpose fields for football, soccer, and lacrosse. Additionally, the Grand Park Events Center features three full-sized indoor soccer fields. NBA’s Indiana Pacers also train on-site, at the privately-owned Pacers Athletic Center.
Indy Eleven Men’s Senior Team began training at Grand Park in 2014. The club’s USL Academy teams began using the facility only in 2021. USL W League is the latest entrant – the team will train and play in the Grand Park Sports Campus from 2022.
What color are the Indy Eleven jerseys?
The Indy Eleven kits feature blue, white, and red – the same as the Indianapolis flag. The navy checkered pattern is a nod to the Brickyard Battalion and the city’s auto-racing culture.
What is the Brickyard Battalion?
Indy Eleven’s primary supporter group is called the Brickyard Battalion. It was born out of a grassroots campaign to garner local support for professional soccer in Indianapolis and was established in 2011.
The Brickyard Battalion occupies the General Admission section behind the west goal at Carroll Stadium. Tickets and entry to this section are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where does Indy Eleven play home matches?
Indy Eleven has used the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium for home games since its debut in 2014. In 2018, the club moved to the Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. They played three seasons there before returning to the IUPUI campus in 2021.
Carroll Stadium on the IUPUI Campus hosted Indy Eleven matches during the 2021 USL Championship season. The team is currently playing the 2022 home matches at the same stadium. The team plans to make a final move in 2025 with the ongoing development of Eleven Park in Indianapolis.
Does Indy 11 have a new stadium?
Indy Eleven has announced the development of Eleven Park. It is a $550 million multi-use development in downtown Indianapolis. The project is centered on a 20,000-seater stadium for the soccer team.
In June 2022, the club announced that 20 acres had been acquired to construct Indy Eleven’s permanent home field and stadium. The site was formerly occupied by the Diamond Chain Company. It s located southwest downtown, bound by the White River, Kentucky Avenue, and West Street. With construction beginning in 2023, the Indy Eleven new stadium will open by 2025.

Is Carroll Stadium ADA-Accessible?
Wheelchair and companion seating is available at the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium. ADA platform seating is located at the top of sections 5, 6, 15, and 16.
Carroll Stadium lots B and C have ADA parking spaces. Additionally, transportation from the parking lots to the stadium gates is available on request. Ask a parking assistant for a cart.
What time do gates open for Indy Eleven matches?
Carroll Stadium gates open an hour before kickoff for all seating types. There is a No Re-entry policy at the Indy Eleven stadium. You may not exit and re-enter with the same ticket.
