Even though it isn’t the busiest airport in the world or even in the country, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) serves as the starting or ending point for more travelers than any other airport in the world.<\/p>\n

That means there are more people than at any other airport in the world trying to push their way through the airport’s notoriously gridlocked horseshoe.<\/p>\n

It’s even worse than usual right now because the airport is undergoing a major construction project. The reconstruction involves temporarily (that’s what they’re saying) moving taxis and ride-hailing services out of the airport to an external lot. You must now take a shuttle to get there, and some travelers have complained about long wait times. Not to mention significant inconveniences if you arrive with crying children and a large number of bags. It’s equally tough if you are aged or disabled.
